Practical answers for buyers sourcing from Egypt — from product selection to documents, inspection and shipment.
How can I request a product?
Choose a product and submit a Request Quote or Verified RFQ. You can also describe a product that is not yet listed.
Can you source products not listed?
Yes. Send the product, target specification, quantity, destination, packaging and any compliance requirements and the sourcing team will qualify the route.
How does the sourcing process work?
The workflow is Discover → Specify → Match → Verify → Quote → Sample → Confirm → Inspect → Ship → Deliver. The exact steps depend on the product and buyer programme.
What information should I include in an RFQ?
Product or category, specification or grade, quantity or annual volume, destination country and port, packaging, delivery window, certifications/documents, Incoterm and your company/contact details.
Do you provide fixed prices?
Quotes depend on specification, quantity, packaging, destination, Incoterms, season and supplier confirmation. Prices should be treated as quote-specific, not permanent catalogue prices.
Can I request samples?
Yes. Add the sample requirement to the RFQ. Sample availability, cost, courier terms and timing are confirmed during qualification.
Can suppliers be verified?
Supplier and facility capability can be qualified during the sourcing process before commercial commitment. Verification status should always be read together with the underlying evidence and date.
What does “sourceable” mean?
It means the product is within the catalogue sourcing scope; it does not mean a specific supplier, price, capacity or certification has already been guaranteed.
Which certifications can you support?
Requirements depend on the product and destination. Examples can include GlobalG.A.P., BRCGS, HACCP, ISO systems, COA, phytosanitary documentation and certificate of origin. Final requirements must be confirmed for the shipment.
What export documents may be required?
Depending on the shipment, documentation can include commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading, phytosanitary certificate, inspection reports and destination-specific compliance documents.
Do you support private label?
Private-label packaging can be requested where the qualified supplier supports the programme and the artwork, pack format, labeling and minimum quantities are commercially feasible.
What quantity can I order?
MOQ and load guidance vary by product and supplier. The RFQ should state your target quantity, container preference or annual programme so the team can qualify the most practical route.
Which Incoterms can be quoted?
Common requests include FOB, CFR, CIF and FCA. The final Incoterm depends on the product, shipment route, supplier capability and buyer requirement.
Can you coordinate inspection?
Inspection requirements can be included in the RFQ. The selected inspection body, scope, timing and cost are confirmed before shipment when applicable.
How is cold-chain handled?
For temperature-sensitive products, the RFQ should state the required temperature range, packaging, pre-cooling, reefer requirement and destination conditions. These details are qualified shipment by shipment.
Which markets do you serve?
The platform is designed around Egyptian-origin trade across the GCC, Europe, UK, Africa, Asia and North America, while accepting a destination request even when the exact market is not yet listed.
How long does sourcing take?
Timing varies by product, specification, season, supplier response, documentation and destination. The team confirms the next step after reviewing the requirement.
How are agricultural products qualified?
Agricultural requests can be qualified around variety, grade, season, farm/packhouse capability, packing, residue or phytosanitary requirements, inspection and destination-market rules.
Can you help with export-market requirements?
Yes. State the destination country and port in the RFQ. The sourcing path can then be aligned to the relevant documentation, packaging, inspection and commercial requirements.
Is every catalogue supplier already verified?
No. The catalogue intentionally distinguishes sourceability and public-source discovery from supplier-specific verification. Supplier claims, certificates, capacity and availability must be confirmed during qualification.
How do I get help before submitting an RFQ?
Use the Customer Service page, WhatsApp contact or email link. For a product-specific request, an RFQ is the fastest way to give the team the full commercial context.
Where does the export intelligence come from?
Market-level intelligence is based on public sector sources such as the Egyptian Agricultural Export Council, the Food Export Council and the Egypt Export Portal. Time periods and source dates are shown so buyers can distinguish market data from Y PRO supplier verification.
